A splendid mini-project that looks forward to the upcoming mega-project: the exhibition 𝘝𝘪𝘤𝘵𝘰𝘳 𝘉𝘳𝘢𝘶𝘯𝘦𝘳 - 𝘐𝘯𝘷𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘔𝘢𝘨𝘪𝘤.

Together with artist Ioana Trușcă// TRSC, we proposed a limited edition art print inspired by Brauner's universe, as an homage to this front runner of surrealism & as an end-of-the year gift. A few thoughts were gathered as accompagnement to this edition on "Flora Anis" paper, that 90 friends of DBO got to own:

«Victor Brauner occupies an important place in TRSC' web of references, through his esoterism, avant-gard spirt and his playfulness in sharp contrast with the context in which he created. Hence, the digital piece 𝘛𝘈𝘙𝘖𝘛𝘙𝘚𝘊 is a way of honoring him as an artistic mentor. TRSC took from his themes and symbols (the infinity, the star) on top of which she added her own iconography to create a paradoxical character that renews its energy indefinitely; a double figure, at once firing and calm. The result is a piece that gives its owner a choice, how to display it, as it holds no predetermined up or down. »

This #digitalartwork is one creative-wink – part of, we hope, many to come – that will revolve around the very first retrospective dedicated to Victor Brauner in his homecountry. The exceptional show, curated by Camille Morando, will run from 17/02 to 28/05 as part of #TM2023 and is organized by Centre Pompidou, Muzeul Național de Artă Timișoara, Art Encounters Foundation and the French Institute in Romania — with Elvira Lupșa as General Coordinator.
