A performative diptych examining how collective choreographies reflect the socio-political climate of their time. The project emerges from an extensive process of research and production, resulting in two performative works, supported by complementary media such as podcasts and reports.

Collective Cadence is a performative conference exploring the dynamic between individuality and collectivity through the lens of artificial intelligence- conceived and performed by Simona Deaconescu (choreographer) and Grigore Burloiu (creative technologist).

BPM - Beats per Millennium is a contemporary dance solo tracing the history of clubbing in Romania as a form of cultural and political expression. It marks the choreographic debut of one of Romania’s most acclaimed dancers, Simona Dabija.

The visual identity echoes the approach of Retro Rec, using the same bold typography and illustrated character design. Given the subtle conceptual link between the two projects, Rhythms & Crowds characters borrow visual cues from the Retro Rec universe - scaled up and multiplied to evoke crowds and motion.

All elements are deployed within a shared, modular design system, allowing for adaptable compositions across formats and platforms.
